Confluence 1.3-final は Confluence 1.3 の安定版リリースです。これで完成です。Confluence 1.3 の完全なリリース ノートはこちらにあります。このページでは、1.3-DR4 開発リリース以降の変更についてのみ記載しています。
1.3-final には、1.3-DR4 からの 100 を超える改善があります。そのほとんどが、バグの修正、インターフェイスの調整、Confluence の安定版リリースの準備に向けられています。
Who should upgrade?
Confluence 1.3 は、Confluence の新しい安定版リリースです。これには 1.2.3 以降の大量の機能強化と修正が含まれています。Confluence を実行している場合は (また Oracle を使用していない場合は以下を参照)、Confluence 1.3 にアップグレードする必要があります。Confluence を実行していない場合は、データベースに関係なく直ちに 1.3 をインストールする必要があります。
現在、Oracle データベース で Confluence を使用しているユーザーは、アップグレードを遅らせたい場合もあります。
アップグレード手順
Upgrading Confluence should be pretty easy. If you are upgrading from Confluence 1.2 or higher, you can find instructions here. We strongly recommend that you backup your confluence.home directory and database before upgrading!
If you are upgrading from Confluence 1.1.2 or earlier, be sure to read the upgrade instructions in the Confluence 1.2 release notes.
Note: You will need to rebuild the search index after you upgrade for certain features (including mail threading) to work properly.

New Demonstration Content
DR4 セットアップの改善の一環としてサンプル スペースをインストールするオプションが付加されましたが、読み込んだデモ用コンテンツはそれほど有用ではありませんでした。現在、最終リリースのデモ用スペースには、一連のデモ用ページ、Confluence でできることの例、おまけにシドニー・オペラハウスの写真がいくつか含まれています。これによって Confluence を遥かに簡単に起動できるようになり、実行速度は大幅に向上しました。
リファラーのパフォーマンスの改善
We discovered (from monitoring the http://confluence.atlassian.com site) that our recording of HTTP referrers was causing some serious performance problems for public Confluence sites. Upgrading to Confluence 1.3-final should make Confluence a lot more responsive, especially under heavy load.
表記ガイドの改善
The notation guide has been reorganized to be more user-focused, making it easier to find the markup or macro you are looking for.
また、マクロのプラグイン自体を表記ガイドに挿入できるようになりました。マクロの説明を 2 列の HTML テーブル行として記述して VM ファイルに組み込み、atlassian-plugin.xml ファイルに次を含めるだけです。

ヘルプ セクションには、テキスト効果、見出し、改行、リンク、リスト、画像、表、詳細設定、Confluence、外部またはその他のいずれかになります。ヘルプ セクションを含めない場合は「マクロ」セクションに配置されます。
検索インデックスの改善
Confluence 内でコンテンツのインデックスを作成する方法を更新しました。これまでは結果が空になる検索にも、これからは対象が見つかります。さらに、[一般設定] でインデックス作成のプライマリ言語を設定できるようになったため、インデクサーを英語以外のコンテンツに対しても最適化できます。
その他
- 特に多かったリクエスト (バグ修正でも最も重要視されていました) にお応えするために、ページは作成日順ではなくアルファベット順にエクスポートされるようになりました。
- リモート API は、必要に応じて匿名でアクセスできます (匿名リモート アクセスは、一般設定で有効にする必要があります)。
- When previewing a page, you can continue to edit on that screen, instead of having to go back to the edit page.
- The thread view on a mail page has been improved, and the full-thread view is no longer a pop-up.
- 管理ページにアクセスするために
confluence-adminグループに所属する必要はなくなり、グローバル管理権限があれば十分になりました。 - You can link to anything in Confluence if you know its ID in the database (currently this is how you must link to email): [$1234]
- You can link to anything relative to the root of the Confluence site (useful for pointing to parts of the site that can't otherwise be linked): [///pages/editpage.action?pageId=1234]

Issues Resolved for 1.3-final
全体では、DR4 ～ 1.3-final の間で 130 を超える課題を解決しました。残念ながら、JIRA ですべてのバージョンをマージすると、これら 130 の課題で何が行われたかに関するリストは失われます。ただし、この1.3 で解決した課題のリストを最終更新日で並べ替えると、判明することもあります。
