Here’s some important information you should know about before upgrading.
Bamboo 9.3.6 no longer ships with the JDBC driver for the H2 database engine
To resolve several security vulnerabilities, the JDBC driver for the H2 database engine is no longer bundled with Bamboo 9.3.6 and newer. If you want to evaluate Bamboo using the H2 database, see Connect Bamboo to an H2 database.
Removal of the Jenkins importer
Bamboo 9.3 removes the Jenkins importer, which has been deprecated since the release of Bamboo 7.0.
Removal of Large File Storage (LFS) from Bamboo Specs
Bamboo will no longer use LFS to check out Specs. Thanks to this, Bamboo will process Specs much faster in source code repositories with the LFS extension enabled, even if you’ve never used LFS in your Specs before.

End-of-support announcements
In this release, we’re removing support for:
Java 8 (including Oracle JDK 8, Open JDK 8, and Adoptium OpenJDK 8); Learn how to upgrade the Java version used by Bamboo
Bamboo stock elastic agent images use Java 11 as a running component and have an additional Java 8 defined as a capability.
If you use customized Elastic Agents based on Java 8, upgrade the image to use Java 11. You can still use Java 8 as a capability for builds with specific requirements.- The 32-bit Windows installer and 32-bit ZIP distribution. This means that the 32-bit Windows installer is no longer available, and the 32-bit ZIP distribution is replaced by a 64-bit version.
