Here’s some important information you should know about before upgrading.
Enhanced GitHub integration
Bamboo 10.1 continues to improve GitHub integration by enabling push, webhook-based integration known from Bitbucket DC and Cloud and supporting divergent branches.
To enable these features, make sure your GitHub tokens used with Bamboo repositories include the admin:repo_hook scope.

Quiet period deprecation
Since Bamboo 10.1, the quiet period functionality has been deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Bamboo. Due to performance implications, we don't recommend using it. Evaluate the 'Stop oldest builds' concurrent builds' execution strategy functionality to determine if it could serve as an effective replacement.

To improve the security of the Bamboo login experience, we’ve added a new login page and an optional second authentication layer. To protect your Atlassian account, you can now set up two-step verification and verify your identity with an authentication app when you log in.
If you experience any issues with the new login page or two-step verification, you can switch to the legacy login experience by setting the system property atlassian.authentication.legacy.mode to true.
Duration for waiting on an ephemeral agent - settings migration
When using ephemeral agents, you can specify how long it takes to wait for a launched agent before other agent types can grab the build for which the ephemeral agent was launched. In previous releases, this could be set with the bamboo.agent.queue.waiting.for.dedicated.agent.duration system property. From Bamboo 10.1, this setting is available on the general ephemeral agents' configuration page admin/ephemeral/configureEphemeralAgents.action.
