Mirror farms for scalable CI/CD capacity
Want to increase your team’s CI/CD capacity and cut the time your distributed teams spend waiting to pull and clone? Mirror farms is here to help.
A mirror farm is a cluster of mirrors that run behind a load balancer to provide greater capacity and higher availability. This means if one mirror is unavailable, the other mirrors in the farm are able to support the continuous integration load, preventing downtime or delays in getting build results. As you offload more build load to your mirror farm, resources are freed up on the primary server to serve developer requests.
Alongside mirror farms, we're also introducing a major update to smart mirroring that improves the ability of mirrors to detect and recover from errors. This new anti-entropy system verifies the consistency of a mirror against the primary every 3 minutes. It improves the stability of all mirrors, so even if you don't plan on setting up a mirror farm, updating to Bitbucket Server 6.7 is recommended if you use mirrors.

Improved file search
To help you narrow your searches and find exactly what you need, we've updated our file search in two key ways.
First up, we've introduced a new search modifier, path:. With it you can restrict searches to only consider files with a specific term in their path or filename, and you can use wildcards when doing so. This is particularly helpful when searching across a large number of repositories, as it allows you target your search to just what's important to you.
We've also updated how search results are prioritized. Results that match a file's path and content are now shown up top, meaning you can find what you need and get to work faster.

New supported databases
We're committed to extending support for modern cloud-native technologies for better scaling, increased performance, and higher availability. That's why we're introducing support for Amazon Aurora: a reliable, durable, and fault tolerant relational database that’s built for true high availability as your transaction volume increases over time. Bitbucket Data Center now supports connecting to an existing Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL database. See Configuring Bitbucket Data Center to work with Amazon Aurora to get started.
What's more, we've also introduced support for Oracle 18c and 19c. See Supported platforms for more info.
What else is new?
More control over commit messages – Set the number of commit summaries included in the commit message when you merge a pull request. The Pull request merge strategies page shows you how.
Raw patch and raw diff APIs – Retrieve a raw patch or raw diff for a set of commits or pull request. Find out more in our developer docs.
