Set up the roadmap
To get the most out of your roadmap experience, consider the following additional configuration options during your initial set up.
Add the Start date and Due date fields
Hovering over an epic will display its date range, allowing you to view the start and due dates of your epic.
When configuring an epic in a classic project, the Start date and Due date fields will not appear within the default issue view. In order for date ranges to appear correctly on your roadmap, you’ll need to configure the field layout for epics to set these dates.

Epic name vs Epic summary
In classic projects, the Epic name and Epic summary fields are used interchangeably. On the roadmap, the epic will display the Epic summary as the name of the epic.
To maintain consistency, consider using the same name for both the Epic name and Epic summary fields on your epic.
