In Confluence, content is organized into spaces.

Spaces allow you to partition your site into areas based on any theme or criteria of your choice.

For example, you may want separate areas on your site for each team or project within your organisation. So for each team or project, you can set up a different space. You can build content for each of these spaces individually, decide who the space's users are, and even archive mail separately within each.

Confluence treats each space as an independently managed wiki. What this means is that each space functions autonomously within your site.

There is no limit to the number of spaces you can create within Confluence!

Each space:

You can view all the spaces within a site via the dashboard. Click on the logo beside the page title to go to the dashboard.
