要約
New per-issue limits will soon be rolled out to the Jira instance, limiting the maximum number of comments to 5000 per issue.
Once the limit has been reached, you won’t be able to add more comments to the issue. Users will receive an error to inform them that they have reached the limit.

ソリューション
Here are a few workarounds that can help you in this case-
- You can have an automation rule to run every first day of the quarter(or whenever you think there will be enough time to create nearly 5000 comments) to create a new linked issue every quarter and to close the old one.
- You can also use this API to get the list of issues that are breaching or about to breach the limit.
- You can create an automation rule similar to the following to create a new clone when an issue reaches the comment limit-
Note: In the case of automation, please be aware of the automation usage limits mentioned here (to understand what is counted as usage, please refer to this page).
