You can configure a number of settings that will customise your view of the Task Board only.
To customise your preferences for the Task Board,
- Log into JIRA.
Click the 'Agile' menu in the top navigation bar and select 'Task Board' from the dropdown that displays. The 'Task Board' will display.
- Select your project from the project dropdown in the top left of the Task Board (next to 'TASK BOARD'), if it is not already selected. The 'Planning Board' will refresh with information for your project.
- Enable the 'User Preferences' toolbar if it is not already enabled, by clicking the 'Tools' menu and clicking 'User Preferences'. The 'User Preferences' toolbar will display. Please note, the preferences displayed in the toolbar will change depending on whether you are viewing issues as cards or as a list.

- Customise your preferences as desired:
- #Parent — The maximum number of parents per page to display in the outlined Mode.
- #Cards/Page — The maximum number of summaries to display per column in the summary mode (-1 in card mode).
- #Cards/row — The maximum number of summaries to display per row in the summary mode (-1 in card mode).
- #Pages — The number of pages to display in the pagination.
- Refresh Rate — The auto-refresh delay (in seconds).
- Highlight — The opacity ratio to use when using the highlight of the context
- Use JIRA IFrame — Check this checkbox to use JIRA's IFrames when viewing issues in GreenHopper, i.e. when you click an issue in any of the boards the issue details will display in a pop-up window (IFrame) rather than opening the issue in the standard JIRA view. (Note: this overrides the setting that your administrator has specified for individual projects.)
- Auto Assign — Will auto-assign the issue to the user before every transition. You will need permission to 'Assign Issues' for the project.
