Bamboo provides you with a number of options for user management:
- Manage users and groups in Bamboo
- Connect to Atlassian's Crowd as a user directory manager for Bamboo
- Connect Bamboo to external user directories (e.g. on an LDAP server)
Choosing a Method for User Management
To choose a method for user management in Bamboo:
- Navigate to 'Administration' > 'User Management' ('Security' section).
- Choose one of the user management options:
- 'Local users and groups' — Choose this option to manage your users and groups in Bamboo.
- 'Users and groups from JIRA or Crowd' — Choose this option to manage your users and groups using Atlassian's Crowd.

- 'Custom user repository' — Choose this option to manage your users and groups via an LDAP server or a custom repository.

- Click 'Save'
