JIRA's powerful issue search functionality is further enhanced by the ability to save a search for use at a later time. A saved search is called an 'issue filter' or simply 'filter'.
With a filter, you can:
- display the search results in the Issue Navigator, where you can view and export them in various formats (RSS, Excel, etc)
- display the search results in a report format
- display the search results in a dashboard Gadget
- share the search with colleagues (see below)
- add another user's shared filter as a favourite (see below)
- have the search results emailed to you according to your preferred schedule

Running an issue filter
You can run an issue filter/saved search by clicking it. System filters (My Open Issues, Reported by Me, Recently Viewed, All Issues) and your favourite filters are shown in the issue navigator. You can also find and run issue filters via the 'Manage Filters' page (see Managing your filters section below).
To perform a saved search in the issue navigator:
- 課題 > Search for Issues (課題を検索する) を選択します。
- Choose a filter from the filters listed on the left of the issue navigator. You will be able to choose a filter, as follows:
- Choose a system filter — My Open Issues, Reported by Me, Recently Viewed, All Issues
- Choose a favourite filter — Your favourite filters (listed alphabetically)
- Search — Click the Find Filters link to search for a filter. You can search for any filter that has been shared with you, then subscribe to it as a favourite. Once you have subscribed to a filter, it will be listed in under Favourite Filters.
- Once you have chosen an issue filter, the search results for the filter will be displayed. The search criteria for the filter will also be displayed.
If you choose the 'Recently Viewed' system filter, the issue navigator will switch to the advanced search . This is because basic search cannot represent the ORDER BY clause that is used in the 'Recently Viewed' system filter. - Update the search criteria as desired, then run the search again by clicking the magnifying glass button.
For instructions on adding, removing or modifying issue filters, see the following sections.

Defining filter-specific issue navigator column order
You can add an issue navigator column order to a saved filter. The results of a filter are displayed according to the saved column order, if the filter has one. Otherwise, the results are displayed according to your personal column order (if you have set this) or the system default.
保存済みのフィルターに列レイアウトを追加する方法:
- Choose Issues > Manage Filters.
- Click the My tab. This tab displays all the filters that have been created by you.
- Locate the filter you wish to update, click the cog icon and select Columns from the dropdown menu.
- Configure the column order as desired. You can configure the column order the same way you would configure your personal Issue Navigator column order.

Overriding Column Order
If a filter has a saved column order, the results will be presented using that column order when the filter is run. You can, however, choose to use your own column order (or the system default column order, if you do not have a personal one configured) to view the results.
To use your default column order for a search:
- Run the issue filter. The search will be displayed in the issue navigator.
- Click the cog icon above the search results and select Use your default Column Order.
To go back to using the filter's own column order, follow the instructions above but select the Use filter's Column Order link.
