Working with spaces overview

Confluence allows you to partition your site into spaces so you can categorize and organize content on your site based on any theme or criteria of your choice. A space is simply an area on your site where you can group various content types (pages, news, attachments, etc) together.

Each space

• has its own access control settings, so you can be set different levels of access to different spaces.
• has its own reports and RSS Feeds to track new and modified pages, and new comments.
• can be separately exported to PDF.

In other words, each space is an independently managed wiki within your site and there is no limit to the number of spaces you can create within Confluence!

You can easily view all the spaces within a site via the Dashboard.
