Confluence allows you to partition your site into 'spaces' so you can organize your content according to a theme. A space is simply an area on your site where you can group various content types (pages, news, attachments, etc) together. In other words, it is an independently managed wiki within your site.

There is no limit to the number of spaces you can create with Confluence!

You can easily view all the spaces within a site via the Dashboard.

Each space

  • has its own access control settings, so you can be set different levels of access to different spaces
  • has its own reports and RSS newsfeeds to track new and modified pages, and new comments
  • can be separately exported to PDF
