When Creating or Editing an Issue via the Modal provided in Slack or Microsoft Teams, multiple Fields are present so that they may be changed.

This article covers how to hide some of these Fields, so that they cannot be changed in Slack or Microsoft Teams via the Issue Modals.

Please note that some Fields cannot be hidden, such as Jira System Fields like Description.

This is for JSM Chat in Jira Cloud.

原因

As the Fields are available to the relevant Projects, they are presented in the Issue Modals.

This is defined by the Custom Field's Context:

• Atlassian Support Docs - Configure custom field context

To summarize, a Custom Field's Context defines which Projects it is available in.

For example, you could have a Custom Field with the Context of only being available in 1 JSM Project, or a Custom Field that is available in all but one Jira Software Project.

Unfortunately, there is not a way around removing the Custom Field from the Project. Meaning, for the Custom Field to not appear in the Issue Modals, it cannot be present in the Project.

To resolve this Issue, navigate to your Site's list of Custom Fields:

1. Click the Cog Wheel in the top right while on your Jira Site.
2. Click Issues in the dropdown that appears.
3. Click Custom Fields in the navigation column on the left.
4. Filter the list of Custom Fields by the name of the Field who's context needs to be adjusted.
5. Click the ellipses (...) on the Custom Field's row.
6. Click Contexts and default value in the dropdown that appears.
7. Under Applicable contexts for scheme click Edit Configuration.
8. Scroll down to Choose applicable context and select the Projects the Custom Field should appear in. Multiple can be selected using Ctrl/Cmd as appropriate to your Operating System.
9. Click the Modify button.

For Step 8, the Project that is using JSM Chat should not be selected. This does mean that the Custom Field cannot be used in that Project for it to not appear in the Issue Modals in Slack and Microsoft Teams.
