Both Fisheye and Crucible are feature complete offerings. Thousands of customers continue to enjoy the benefits of searching, tracking, visualizing and reviewing code changes in multiple SCMs. At the same time the market, and many customers of Fisheye and Crucible, have adopted newer technologies, ways of working, and products such as Bitbucket for their software development. In recognition of this shift, we are focusing our investments on other product innovation.

Fisheye and Crucible are not going away - We know that customers have years of code history, millions of commits, and dozens of integrations built around your existing SCMs, and that moving existing code to another solution is not a priority for everyone. At this stage, we do not have an end of life plan and are pleased that Fisheye and Crucible continue to be supported and deliver the value that our customers currently enjoy.

New Fisheye and Crucible releases will be still published - Basic maintenance mode means that there will not be any further feature development on Fisheye and Crucible. Atlassian will continue to provide licensed customers with technical support and updates in the form of maintenance releases. Such releases will focus on security and bug fixes, and platform updates.

Approach to security vulnerabilities - We are committed to delivering security fixes also in the basic maintenance mode. This includes vulnerabilities in both our own code and the third-party libraries bundled with Fisheye and Crucible. If a security fix requires a backward-incompatible change, we might decide to postpone it to the next major release of Fisheye and Crucible to not break existing plugins and integrations. In such a case, the time to fix the vulnerability might exceed our SLOs.

Who should I contact if I have more questions? How can I get help with Fisheye and Crucible?

Please visit https://support.atlassian.com/ja/ for all questions. From there you may raise a support issue for technical questions, or contact our team regarding licensing and billing.

How will bugfixes and suggestions be addressed?

We will continue to use jira.atlassian.com for tracking and prioritising bugs for fixing. We prioritise bugs based on a number of factors, including expected customer impact (partly informed by comments, votes, support issues, and feedback from our field teams and partners), as well as technical complexity.

Over time we expect to close old and less popular bugs and suggestions that are unlikely to be prioritised and scheduled while in basic maintenance mode.

Are any other Atlassian products going into basic maintenance mode?

Not at this time.
