It's as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Attach the spreadsheet on your page

2. In Edit mode, place the viewfile macro, paste your file name

3. click save!

Let's do it

that's it!

Is it possible to see a pie chart from the Excel file ?  Doesn't seem to work with the default macro...  thx !

Confluence is able to display Excel attachments of pages using this simple way, that's true. There are also a few spreadsheet tools on the Marketplace, and for the moment 3 major solutions are Bob Swift's tool which displays them as Confluence tables, Valiantys which reproduces the Excel features and Play SQL (disclaimer: I'm the author) which provides enterprise spreadsheets for Confluence.

this doesn't work very well at all. spreadsheet appears with micro font centered in the middle of the page with 6 inches of white space on either side. I played around with print  area but to no avail.

When I embed a excel sheet in confluence page, Can we use Filters in Confluence Page.

I have a huge amount of data in excel sheet and i want to give filter option to user on first row of excel sheet.

I'm eagerly looking forward to support for embedding Open Document Spreadsheet files, too! We're going to ditch Microsoft's nasty freedom-violating software and switch to LibreOffice soon!

    Cheers!
