Troubleshooting Apache on linux integration with Fisheye/Crucible.

This text supposes that you already have Apache running correctly.

If you face the error on apache logs when integrating it with apache please try the steps below:

[error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to

Add this Virtual host to your apache:

<VirtualHost *:80>
#Creating virtual host
ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPreserveHost On
<Proxy *>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
ProxyPass / http://your_application_original_url:port/
ProxyPassReverse / http://your_application_original_url:port/
<Location />
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
ErrorLog /path/to/
LogLevel debug
CustomLog /path/to/ combined

If you use SSL some more parameters are needed.

SSLEngine On
SSLProxyEngine on
SSLCertificateFile /path/to/file.crt
SSLCertificateKeyFile /path/to/file.key

This virtual host needs mod_proxy and mod_ssl loaded with apache.

RHEL distros have SELinux enabled by default.
To allow proxy connections on apache you need to run:

/usr/sbin/setsebool httpd_can_network_connect true
/usr/sbin/setsebool httpd_can_network_connect 1

The command above can change depending on the linux distribution.

To enable apache connections on firewall run:

iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT
service iptables save

Debian based distros don't have SELinux installed/enabled by default, but you will need to use the firewall rules mentioned above.

For RHEL and Debian families the vhost is similar as it is read by Apache and not by Linux itself.
