When installing the JIRA Service Desk add-on, the installation process will hang and appears to lock up the Universal Plugin Manager.
When navigating away from the UPM and back again, the installation pop-up will show again and lock up at the same position.

This issue surfaces when running JIRA on an unsupported version of Java.
For instance, when running JIRA 6.x on Java 6.
The resolution for this issue, is to update the version of Java to a supported version.
