In most instances, the OpenID Server will not be used at all, since none of the Atlassian applications actually require it, unless you have a custom application that implements the OpenID authentication mechanism. 

Step-by-Step Guide

To disable the OpenID Server:

1. Navigate to CrowdInstallation/apache-tomcat/conf/Catalina/localhost
2. Remove openidserver.xml (you might want to keep a backup of it somewhere else)
3. Restart Crowd
