Documentation for GreenHopper 6.2.x. Documentation for earlier versions of GreenHopper is [available too].
In GreenHopper, go to Plan mode on your board to create a sprint, choose issues and start a sprint. Then go to Work mode to work on issues and complete the sprint. For completed sprints, you can view the Sprint Retrospective Report in Report mode.
(Note: In JIRA, sprint is a searchable field — see the JIRA JQL documentation for details.)

Feb 10, 2012Again, how do you create a sprint in this version of Greenhopper?

Mar 26, 2012I have added links on this page. Thanks for the question.

Mar 21, 2012From your Planning board, create a Rapid board. From your Rapis board, pull the Sprint bar down to the last story you wish to include.
However, please dont ask me how to Delete a sprint!

Apr 10, 2012What issue attribute identifies that issue as part of a particular Sprint?
Before the scrum rapid board came out, we've typically created Versions to represent each sprint, and used the planning board to move issues from 'unscheduled' to a version called "Sprint 1", "Sprint 2", etc.
We are interested in finding a way to occasionally continue to use the Planning Board to view all the issues in a particular Sprint (specifically, 'Sprint' that has been defined in the Rapid Board).

Apr 10, 2012I've found that the field is called "Sprint" and it is hidden on most screens by default, but can be activated by adminstering the default field configuration and the screens in which it appears.
Now, when I view an issue's details, I see the sprint it is in. If it has been in two sprints, both show up, so you just have to assume it is active in the most recent sprint.
Unfortunately, what's misleading to my users is that the Planning Board (which they still use) references "Fix Version" when categorizing stories into 'sprints' or releases. These do not match with the actual Sprint field.
I'd like the categories on the right-side panel to use Greenhopper's 'Sprint' for grouping, rather than "Fix Version". Is this possible?

May 16, 2012How do you delete a Sprint? You can delete fixVersions in the "Versions" tab in Project Administration. It appears that you only can "complete" Sprints. People make mistakes and we need the ability to recover from those mistakes. When will be the ability to delete Sprints?

Jul 26, 2012I've found that if I remove the sprint number from the "Sprint" field in each issue contained in the sprint it will effectively delete the sprint from Greenhopper.
See Michael Walkers comment above on accessing the sprint field in an issues detail.

Jul 11, 2012It looks like sprints comprise versions, instead of releases within Greenhopper. Can someone confirm or deny this, please?

Aug 16, 2012We've been using Greenhopper for just about 1.5 yrs and have run through 34 sprints. We used to use the fixVersion to organize sprints under releases. We just upgraded to the latest Greenhopper and find that we can't seem to name the sprints. All we're being offered is Sprint 1 and frankly that sprint already happened and I'd rather have the option to call my first sprint with the new Greenhopper be Sprint 35. Any suggestion on how I can do that?

Aug 17, 2012super. we're right in the middle of our last sprint with the old greenhopper so, not knowing the consequences, I didn't want to hit start on a sprint with the new greenhopper. thanks for this info.

Sept 07, 2012We are moving across to the new scrum board and currently we have a user story that has many custom sub tasks under it that complete the user story. These sub tasks are in different sprints. Our issue is at planning level we are only able to drah the story into the sprint and not the actual sub tasks. Does anyone know how to do this ?

Sept 07, 2012Checked and normal JIRA sub tasks don't come up either

Feb 14, 2013We have the same problem, why cant you plan subtasks aswell as using stories?

Jan 17, 2013How is it possible that one sprint can be seen on other boards too?
e.g. we have one project board, there we create a sprint and there are some Team Boards. Now we wish to see the sprint of the project board on each team board.

Mar 18, 2013Is it possible to collapse sprints other than the current sprint? I have many sprints, and it is expanding my screen vertically quite a bit. I know the sprints I have planned already aren't going to change much (until perhaps they become the current sprint), so I would like to collapse more sprints than just the current sprint.

Aug 16, 2013This page, along with others, references a Sprint Retrospective Report in Report mode. I'm using Greenhopper version 6.2.5.1 on-demand and do not see this as an available report. Does Greenhopper support the ability to capture sprint retrospectives?
