アドオンは個別にインストールされるコンポーネントで Conflunece に機能を提供します。 「プラグイン」と「アドオン」 の用語は時に同じ意味で使用されます。 

アドオン主に２つの種類があります:

• システムアドオン - これらは、Confluence にバンドルされており、コア機能を提供します。 
• User installed add-ons - these are usually downloaded from The Marketplace and may have been created by Atlassian or by a third party developer.

Universal Plugin Manager について

Add-ons are managed via the Universal Plugin Manager (known as the UPM).  The UPM can be found in most Atlassian applications, and provides a consistent experience for administering add-ons.  

UPM では以下のことが可能です :

• Discover and install new add-ons from the Atlassian Marketplace.
• アドオンのインストールまたは削除
• アドオンの設定
• アドオンとそのコンポーネント モジュールの 有効化または無効化
• Coonfluence をアップグレードする前のアドオンの互換性の確認
