With pleasure, Atlassian presents version 2.2.1 of the Atlassian Connector for IntelliJ IDEA. This is mainly a bug-fix release – take a look at the list of fixes and improvements below.

The most important bug fix is PL-1870, related to supporting the upcoming IntelliJ IDEA 9.0. If you plan to use IntelliJ IDEA 9.0, you must upgrade your Atlassian Connector to version 2.2.1.

Additionally, version 2.2.1 provides integration with IntelliJ IDEA 9's 'Tasks and Context Management' feature. Operations on tasks in IDEA that are bound to a JIRA issue now also affect the issue's workflow state.

We have released this version of the IntelliJ Connector before IDEA 9.0 has been released. Therefore we have managed to perform only a limited number of tests on this IDEA version, as "early access preview" builds are not stable enough for intensive testing.

You can install the connector from the 'Plugins' menu in IntelliJ IDEA. Follow our installation instructions. This is an open source project. You can get the source code from our SVN repository.
