症状

When upgrading to GreenHopper v5.8.x (previous version of JIRA Agile). When trying to use the Rapid Board the screen displays a database server error. The tomcat logs will show the following Oracle error:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("AGILEINF_JIRA"."AO_60DB71_SWIMLANE"."DESCRIPTION")

原因

It's possible that your JIRA instance has gone through an unsuccessful GreenHopper (JIRA Agile) upgrade followed by a downgrade, rank field data is already in the tables AO_60DB71_ISSUERANKING and AO_60DB71_ISSUERANKINGLOG. This issue is different to the database permission problem stated here where there is no problem with the database permissions and sequences have been created for the GH AO tables so the tables can not simply be removed without looking into this issue by support staff first..

 Another alternative to tackle this problem is to have fresh database set up together with an XML backup of your instance. After running through the setup wizard (you can complete it as a fresh installation or perform the restoration of XML backup during the setup), the issue should be gone after the XML backup restoration is completed.
