'Response status code was unacceptable: 405' error in the mobile app

Problem

The Jira Data Center and Server mobile app throws the following error when user tries to connect it to an existing Jira Software (Server or Data Center) site.

Response status code was unacceptable: 405.

Cause

The Jira Data Center and Server mobile app works only with specific versions of Jira Software, and the related Mobile Plugin for Jira app. You’re getting this error, because one of these apps has not been upgraded to the latest version.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, upgrade your Jira instance to Jira Software 8.3 or later.
