Opsgenie Plan Differences (Bundled with JSM vs. Standalone)

Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.

Summary

Opsgenie works differently depending on whether you use the bundled version with Jira Service Management or Standalone.

Solution

What features are supported on each version?

The JSM-subordinated type of Opsgenie doesn't support the following features as the standalone Opsgenie:

Heartbeat Monitoring is available in Premium and Enterprise Jira Service Management plans. In an un-merged subscription, Heartbeat Monitoring is available in Opsgenie’s Standard and Enterprise plans.

Bi-directional Integrations with ITSM tools such as Datadog and Zendesk is not available in Free and Essentials Opsgenie plans as part of Free and Standard Jira Service Management subscriptions. Upgrade to a Premium or Enterprise Jira Service Management plan for access to this feature. In an un-merged subscription, Bi-directional Integration is available in Opsgenie’s Standard and Enterprise plans.

JSM Standard and Premium don't have the Login and SSO section in their settings, this is a feature for Opsgenie standalone, SSO for JSM-subordinated is configured through Atlassian Guard.
