How to Configure an Email Distribution System
I would like to add an email distribution list to the User or email field of a JIRA ticket. However, when I go to add the email address, it is not recognised.
As with all email addresses that are pulled into the field when searched, the email address must be tied to an existing user in JIRA.
To resolve this, you will need to create a dummy user in User Management that is associated with this distribution email address. Once created, you will need to log in as the dummy user once to activate that user. Once this is done, you will be able to search and add the distribution email address to the User field in a JIRA ticket.
