Some users has purchased their license and chose the option for automatic renewal every year. However, users are still required to update their JIRA application license every year going through their my.atlassian.com account, find the license, and go to their application to update them. In order to simplify process, you may do the following:

1. Trigger new licenses purchase through UPM (Universal Plugin Manager) in your JIRA application. This way, the license will automatically be updated to a valid license.
2. If user had trigger the new license purchase through my.atlassian.com, then the user has to go through UPM to manage the purchased add-ons and click "Check for Purchases."
