This is for an outdated version of Hipchat Server
This article applies to a version of Hipchat Server which will be deprecated soon. After that period the version will no longer be supported.
You should upgrade to a more recent version of Hipchat Server as soon as you can to take advantage of new features, and security and bug fixes.
問題
User unable to connect to Hipchat Server via desktop client and received certificate error as follow:
原因
The name mismatch error indicates that the common name (domain name) in the SSL certificate doesn't match the address that is specified in the desktop client server connection.
ソリューション
Run the following command to get the output of current network configuration:
hipchat network --show
The sample returned output are:
admin@hipchat:~$ hipchat network --show
Hostname: hipchat
Domain: atlasx.net
IP Address: 24.26.XX.XX
Gateway: 24.26.XX.XX
Make sure the same hostname and domain from the returned output of 'hipchat network --show' command are entered in the desktop client server connection. In this case as per the example above, the server URL in the connection setting should be set as 'hipchat.atlasx.net'. It needs to be a match otherwise the client will returned the error.
