I’ll be showing you a quick demo of our new SQLFeed plugin.
The aim of this plugin is to launch SQL queries using internal/external databases (a bit like ‘database value plugin’ but much easier and with some super cool functions!) :
- the administration interface is now directly accessible in JIRA
- you can define dependencies between Custom Fields, then with the x-level hierachy create endless multi-cascading selections and more easily filter your search (JIRA users will love it!)
- you still keep track of the statistics for each Custom Field
It’s a really useful plugin for Atlassian customers who want to integrate JIRA with their own SMDB

SMDB? Google references don't show up anything I think is applicable

I think that it means BDMS (in english) or SGBD (in french) : http://en.hades-presse.com/ackr/SMBD

Lot's of our customer try to implement ITIL process with JIRA. In their issue they want to have information about services from a global shared database with all the SI.
SMDB (Service Management Database) which includes the ITIL-defined CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
you can have more information here :http://www.pbandsp.com/tools/Products/Cendura/CenduraITIL-WP.pdf (page 3)

This sounds awesome - we have a number of users who are asking for integration between JIRA and external systems, and I haven't had much luck with the DB Values plugin. Looking forward to your preso !
