Summary

Problem

Moving a page does not work on Confluence server, independent of:

  • The space

  • The page

  • Or the user.

It won't work by drag & drop from Space's "Reorder pages" page neither by using the "Move" action from a page.

The stack trace shows the following:

Diagnosis

Environment

  • Confluence 6.0.3 Server

  • Dynatrace tool installed on Server

Cause

This problem seems to be caused by some JVM agent (e.g. Dynatrace) or some performance monitoring plugin. It also seems to have some issues with Java 1.8's lambda expressions, so several Confluence functions can be affected. We recommend disabling these type of tools in your environment.

Solution

Workaround

The workaround is to disable the tool (Dynatrace) on the instance.
