How to access Confluence files edited with the Atlassian Companion app

When you edit a file attached to a Confluence page (in version 6.11 or later) using the Atlassian Companion app, that file is also downloaded and saved on your computer. Files are cleared every time the Companion app restarts.
If you close an edited file and can't upload it back to Confluence (for example, if you lose internet connection), you can access it from the Atlassian Companion folder.
Follow the instructions below to locate the Atlassian Companion folder. This contains subfolders with all the files you've edited using the Companion app.
To find your edited file, search by file name or browse the subfolders by the date they were modified.
The Atlassian Companion folder is hidden by default. To access the folder, you'll need to display hidden files.
To do this on Mac:
- Go to your Home folder. The title of the Home folder is the name of your user account, for example
- Use the keyboard shortcut Command+Shift+. (dot) to show hidden files.
- Open the folder called .atlassian.companion
