Though Confluence does not offer out-of-the-box support for automated language translations of page content, there are a few different approaches we've seen used in Confluence instances.

 Multi-Lingual page display Add-on's

Atlassian Expert partner bitvoodoo ag offers an addon, the Translations for Confluence, which displays page content in different languages on the same page, according to the individual user's language settings.

If you are providing content in other languages, you might also find it useful to use Language Manager for Confluence Server by our Expert Partner //SEIBERT/MEDIA, which lets you handle multiple languages within the same Confluence instance. This means that you can create different versions of content in different languages, and set each version to only link to content in the same language. Users can also easily switch between the languages you provide.

Translation Add-on in the Atlassian Marketplace

Another option is to utilize the functionalities provided by Easy Confluence Translator by EPS Software Engineering AG. This plugin integrates with Deeple and Google, and can also be used to translate draw.io diagrams in your Confluence page.

Browser-based translation tools

The second, more manual workaround is to utilize a browser-based tool such as Google Translate to assist in translating the page content, then separate the page's translations in Confluence using a variety of free plugins..

One method is to utilize the Visibility Plugin, which can hide sections of content to specific groups. Users can be assigned into groups based on their language and only the appropriate translation would be visible to them for that page. You could then assign a small number of bi-lingual users the ability to edit pages so that they could ensure the content was kept consistent in both languages.

Another possible solution is to use the Composition plugin to create tabs (using the {deck} macro) on the page with different translations under each tab. This could work pretty well for people who are writing the same document in different languages. This has the benefit of letting users pick the language they want to read (or the one that is most complete), though it does not provide a site-wide solution for translation.
